Yes.

All our pricing at LetterStream includes postage. This means that when you see the listed prices for our services, they cover not only the printing and processing but also the postage required to send your mail. This helps streamline the process and ensures transparency in your costs.

Tracking is done within your free LetterStream account under each job.

To track your letters sent through LetterStream, follow these steps:

  1. Log into your LetterStream account .
  2. Click on the Job Name or Number of the mailing you’d like to track.
  3. On the job details page, look to the right of each recipient .
  4. Click the “Tracking” link to view the most recent updates from USPS or FedEx.

If your letter sent through LetterStream never gets delivered, here are the steps you can take:

  1. Check Payment Status : Ensure that the job was paid for and not in an unpaid status, as unpaid jobs have not been mailed.
  2. Review Mailing Timelines : Allow up to 3 weekdays for delivery after the job shows as “mailed.” Remember that there are no deliveries on Sundays or U.S. Postal Holidays.
  3. Evaluate Mail Receipt : If it’s been more than 3 weekdays:
    • Confirm with recipients that they have checked their mailbox.
    • Look for any responses that indicate the mail arrived (like calls or payments).
    • Check for returned mail, which indicates the mail was sent but undeliverable due to address issues.
  4. Contact USPS : If you still have concerns, you can reach out to USPS directly for more information on the status of your letter.

Currently, LetterStream does not support saving credit card details for future use within your account. However, there are alternative options available for convenience, especially for repeat users:

  • Pre-fund Your Account Balance : You can add funds to your account for use on future mailings, which allows you to avoid re-entering card details for each job.
  • Low Balance Alerts : Set up alerts to notify you when your account balance is low, ensuring a smooth workflow without needing to input payment information repeatedly.

Yes, you can cancel or delete a job in your LetterStream account, but the options available depend on the job’s current status:

  1. Pending : If the job is pending (not yet approved or paid for), you can delete it without any fees, and 100% of the funds will be credited back to your LetterStream account.
  2. In Production : If the job is in production but has not yet been mailed, you can choose to stop and shred the job. Cancellation fees will apply, and remaining funds will be credited back to your account.
  3. Ready to Mail or Mailed : If the job has been processed and handed over to USPS for delivery, it cannot be canceled or modified.

To cancel or delete a job, log in to your LetterStream account, navigate to the job, and click the blue “Edit” link to see your options.

With LetterStream, you can send any number of sheets through our service, but the maximum number of pages you can send in a single mailing depends on the type of envelope or packaging used:

  • Standard #10 Envelope : Fits up to 15 sheets of 8.5″ x 11″ 20lb paper.
  • Large Flat Envelope : Fits up to 75 sheets of paper.
  • Box Shipments : If your mailing exceeds 75 sheets , it will automatically be sent in a sealed cardboard box.
  • If your document has more than 75 pages it will automatically convert to a Parcel.

If you’re having trouble logging into your LetterStream account, here are some common issues and solutions:

  1. Forgot Username : If you’ve forgotten your username, search your past emails for “LetterStream” or “Welcome To LetterStream” to locate the email that includes your username.
  2. Forgot Password : If you forgot your password, you can use the “Forgot Password” option on the homepage. You’ll need to know your username to use this option.
  3. Too Many Login Attempts : If you’ve received a notice about too many login attempts, you’ll need to wait about 20 minutes before trying to log in again.
  4. Email Access Issues : If you no longer have access to the email address used to set up your account, you may need to provide specific evidence to prove ownership of the account. This includes:
    • Reason for no access to the old email
    • Copies of documents previously uploaded
    • Copies of emails received from LetterStream
    • Last 4 digits of the credit card(s) used
  5. Help from Administrators : If there are other users set up as Administrators within your account, they can help you regain access by updating your information on the Manage Users page.

The estimated delivery time for your letter sent through LetterStream depends on the mailing type you choose. Here are the general timeframes:

  • USPS First-Class Mail & Postcards : Estimated timeframe is 3–7 business days .
  • USPS Certified Mail : Estimated timeframe is also 3–7 business days .
  • USPS Registered Mail : Delivery time varies; no standard estimate is available.
  • USPS Marketing Mail (Standard Mail) : Estimated timeframe is 5–14 business days .
  • FedEx 2Day : Estimated timeframe is 2 business days .

Through LetterStream, you can send a variety of mailing products, including:

  1. USPS First-Class Mail : Standard letters without tracking or signature.
  2. USPS Certified Mail : Includes tracking and optional proof of delivery.
  3. USPS Marketing Mail (Standard Mail) : An economical option, but slower delivery.
  4. Postcards : Available in different sizes, with the same delivery speed as First-Class Mail.
  5. Coupon Booklets : For promotional materials.
  6. FedEx 2Day Mail : Fastest option with tracking, available only to pre-approved business customers.
  7. Registered Mail : For international deliveries that require tracking.

When your letter sent through LetterStream gets returned to sender, here’s what typically happens:

  1. Return Process : The USPS will initiate the return process as soon as they identify a delivery issue, such as an incorrect or incomplete address.
  2. Return Address Requirements : To ensure that undeliverable mail is returned to you, it’s essential to include a complete and correct return address on the envelope. If your return address is valid, the letter will be routed back to you automatically by USPS.
  3. Limitations of First-Class Mail : Keep in mind that First-Class Mail does not offer tracking or delivery confirmation, so if the recipient claims they did not receive the letter, there’s no way to verify delivery.
